ProtoCycler V3 is optimized for 1.75mm diameter filament. 2.85mm may be possible with some plastics, but is not guaranteed.

It really depends on the material, but in general we extrude between 100-500g per hour.

ProtoCycler V3 is currently confirmed to work with PLA, ABS, PETg, HIPS, PA12, and LDPE. We are always adding more plastics, and with manual mode you can experiment with any thermoplastic with a melting temperature under 250°C

Yes! We have spent an incredible amount of time and effort ensuring that ProtoCycler V3 is the safest extruder on the market. But don't take our word for it - we are the only extruder that meets UL, FCC, CE, and RoHS standards.

Each ProtoCycler V3 is built to order, and then thoroughly performance tested to meet all performance standards. Because of this, it can take up to 2 weeks before you receive a shipment notification, though in most cases we ship within 2-3 business days.

ProtoCycler V3 uses patent pending MixFlow™ technology, which is 3x more efficient than traditional extruders. This means that our entire system operates on roughly 100 watts - far less than any other extruder - while still maintaining class leading throughput. ProtoCycler V3 can run on either 110V or 220V, and we will automatically ship you the correct unit based on your shipping address.
